After checking out Backpack today, I started to get interested in J2EE based approaches to time sensitive tasks. I found that the J2EE 1.4 spec comes with a Timer Service. Homemade Air Conditioner, originally uploaded by trikenitdotcom. Yesterday afternoon, I made an air conditioner. I attached 1/4" copper pipe to the front and rear of the fan cage in a spiral. I decided to take the plunge into Flickr. Google never fails to amaze me with software they come up with. I just took a look at Google Earth, which is essentially Keyhole with built in Google Searching and 3D data of a few cities. Frank W. Zammetti of omnytex has done something amazing with AjaxTags. I have never been more impressed with the J2EE world. This morning, I posted a big update to PGnJ. In version 0.4, I added a lot of functionality including detailed database information as well as overhauling the interface. This technically isn't a bug, but the query used for getting table info in PGnJ 0.3 is a little slow, as mentioned in my previous post. I wrote a (very ugly) query to get column names, types and primary key constraints on a give table.
