Happenings at trikenit.com and slicedsoftware.com

Starting Thursday night, I pushed a new slicedsoftware.com to the web. Once I finished this, I tore down trikenit.com and setup some mod_rewrite rules to redirect every trikenit.com/* link to slicedsoftware.com/*.

I plan on using my site to host a variety of things in the future so I wanted to be flexible enough to do whatever I wanted to do when the time comes. So, when developing my new site, I looked at various options including mephisto and movabletype. I really wasn't too thrilled with anything I saw so I decided to write my own custom rails app to handle my site. I also didn't want to break all of the links that were already point at trikenit.com or slicedsoftware.com so I tried my best to map all of the known links to their new homes on this site.

If you haven't updated the feed url you use to hit trikenit.com from your news reader, you are actually being redirected to the new feed url at:
http://www.slicedsoftware.com/rss

There are still a bunch of things missing from the site. For example, the search field, doesn't do anything yet. Also, I bunch of my older blog posts got destroyed when I imported them into the new database. In addition, I don't have any screenshots or screencasts up for my three main programs. I plan on getting these things figured out soon enough, so please don't mind the mess over here.
